Semi-Flexible Solar Panels: Our most common sizes are 150W, 290W and Larger Options Available

We supply and install high-quality semi-flexible solar panels for campervans and motorhomes, with 150W, 290W and larger options available depending on the vehicle, available roof space and your power requirements.

Semi-flexible panels provide a lightweight, low-profile solution, making them particularly suitable for campervans where overall height and roof space matter.

Our solar installations can include:

Semi-flexible solar panel
Solar charge controller
Roof cabling and weatherproof cable entry
Correctly sized cable and circuit protection
Connection to the leisure battery system
Configuration for AGM, lead-acid or lithium batteries as appropriate
System testing and commissioning

For vehicles requiring greater off-grid capability, we can install larger-capacity panels or design a solar system using multiple panels where suitable roof space is available.

We will select the solar panel and charging equipment to suit the vehicle and existing electrical system. Where required, we can also upgrade the solar controller, battery charging equipment or leisure battery system to accommodate increased solar capacity.

Victron SmartSolar MPPT Charge Controller

We use different sizes of Victron SmartSolar MPPT charge controllers depending on the size and configuration of the solar panel system being installed.

We select the controller to match the solar panel output, battery system, and the vehicle's charging requirements.

Features include:

Built-in Bluetooth for setup, monitoring and configuration through the VictronConnect app
MPPT technology to maximise the available energy from the solar panels, particularly during changing light conditions
Programmable charging profiles suitable for different battery technologies, including lithium where applicable
Automatic multi-stage battery charging
Temperature and voltage monitoring options
VE.Direct connectivity on compatible models for integration with Victron monitoring equipment
Lithium-compatible charging when correctly configured
Protection and charging management features appropriate to the controller selected

The SmartSolar MPPT controller size will match the solar installation, rather than using one standard controller for every vehicle.

For larger solar arrays or higher-output systems, we will specify a suitably rated controller to safely handle the panel voltage and charging current.
